While our show was obviously dominating the ratings Monday night at 7:30pm, primetime belonged to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as they held their first live television debate.
The two candidates traded blows on several issues, but things got tense over Trump’s tax returns, whether he encouraged hackers to crack the Democratic National Convention’s computers and whether Clinton started the Obama birther movement.
Everything was on the table last night, and the online world exploded over last night’s debate. Estimates say that more than 80 million people watched the proceedings, making it the most watched event of 2016.
